How We Verify Authenticity: SBD's 3-Point Check

One of the most common questions we receive is: "How do I know the product is real?"

It's a fair question. The grey-market space has a counterfeiting problem. Here's what we do differently.

1. Authorised Retailer Sourcing

We only source from authorised retailers: official brand stores, major department stores (Nordstrom, John Lewis, Selfridges), and verified authorised resellers. We never source from third-party marketplace sellers on Amazon or eBay.

2. Batch Verification

For beauty products, we cross-reference the batch code on the packaging with the brand's database. This tells us the manufacturing date and the market the item was made for. If a product shows up with a batch code mismatched to its claimed origin, it gets flagged immediately.

3. Receipt Included

Every order from SBD includes a scanned copy of the original purchase receipt from the retailer. This is your proof of authenticity — and it also helps with warranty claims if needed.
