Shipment #14 is our biggest USA run of the year so far. 87 items, worth ৳43.5 lakh, from over 20 different retailers across 6 states.

Here's what that actually looks like in practice.

The Sourcing Week

The moment a quote is accepted, our US-based sourcing team queues the item for purchase. For popular items like the Shark FlexStyle, we buy immediately — stock moves fast. For slower items, we batch purchases to optimise delivery windows to our consolidation warehouse in New Jersey.

The Consolidation Warehouse

All items ship to our warehouse in Secaucus, NJ. Here, the team inspects every item, removes outer retail packaging where needed (to meet customs requirements), repackages securely, and weighs everything.

The Weight Problem

Airlines charge by dimensional weight, not actual weight. A light, bulky item like the Airwrap box gets charged at a premium. Our team repacks items to reduce volumetric weight — savings that we pass on to customers through our flat inbound shipping fee.

The Customs Declaration

Every item is declared accurately at fair market value. We never under-declare. It costs more in the short term, but it's the only way to ensure your package isn't seized or delayed at Dhaka customs — a lesson we learned the hard way in 2022.
